Abberican me – The Berrics - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ndOWrWDvB0

This biographical video features Chaz Ortiz a professional skateboarder who talks about how he got into skateboarding and his first and current views on it.

The video follows a linear storyline starting with questions from when he first started and how it happened to what he has been doing lately in his career.

After the first introduction interview the video establishes the location in which he lives (Chicago) using shots which start high up and an eventually get to ground level.

The video is very simple using the expository mode of documentary in which you only see him travelling around the city as he talks to us by the use of voice over.

The music is very simple and calming almost unnoticed to the audience it flow very well with the footage because the majority of it is in slow-motion. I think they used the slow motion to emphasise of each shot more since skateboarding happens so quickly it lets the audience see it in a different light.

The video is particularly aimed towards skateboarders since it is originally only available on [The Berrics.com – a skateboarding media site] although this segment is also aimed towards people who may be interested in skateboarding but do not skateboard themselves.

Beatz: Doug Bordeaux - http://vimeo.com/26657072

This video is about a music producer called Beatz where he talks about how he got into music who his favourite producers are and where he wants his music to progress.

The interview sections have a gold/yellow back drop which help to make the audience feel a particular way towards beatz, the colour gold/yellow represents prestige, power, high quality, intelligence and wisdom. The use of a slight low angle during the interview also make him look more powerful and fearsome.

The music used for this video is music made by the person who is being interviewed [Beatz] this fits the purpose because it connects very much with the interviewee since it's their own creation.

The style and format of questions are very simple and precise into what he specialises in, there are not questions unrelated to what he does this keeps the niche audience interested. Since the audience watching would be musicians, song writers and producers the format of questions will be in a similar way in which their music lives have gone i.e. getting first instrument, how they progress, how they make their music, where they want it to go and who inspires them.

Besides from the interview footage there is also footage of him making music this allows us to see him actually doing what he likes to do not just talking about it and lets the viewer gain their own point of view into the creative hobby.

I also watched alot of related videos which follow the biographical vision of an artist. This is the website in which i watched multiple video for inspiration and ideas. [http://www.iamlosangeles.com/]
